“In a Fast-Moving World, You are Standing Still” (2013). Acrylic on canvas; 30 x 40 in.

The theme of the painting is the seemingly fast pace of life. The viewer is presented with blurry swatches of colors as if he or she is traveling in a fast-moving car or train. Upon reading the title, the relationship seems to be inverted – it is the viewer who is stationary and it is life which seems to be racing past him or her.

This painting is currently on view at the West Regional Branch of the Miami-Dade Public Library System as part of the following exhibition:
